Following the unwind the film passes linear heating bars. Upon machine stop the heating bars are retracted automatically from the film to avoid overheating. Following the heating process, discs crease the film. Discs and heating bars are adjustable across the film web width via spindles, even during machine operation. The male and female cutting die (V shape cut) can be adjusted crosswise to running direction as well.
The entire cutting unit can be withdrawn sidewise from the machine for easy exchange or adjustment of the dies. A pair of dance rollers both prior and following the die cutting stat ion ensures a stationary film web during die cutting operation.
